The Willbrook Plantation pool and clubhouse will remain closed for the time being due to the following reasons:
1. Insurance will not cover costs associated with a pandemic – whether it be related to someone having contracted COVID-19 or the legal defense costs necessary to defend the HOA against such a claim. The association’s attorney and insurance agent both recommended remaining closed at this time. 2. There has been an alarming increase in COVID-19 cases the past few weeks in Georgetown and Southern Horry counties. This is not the time to offer spaces that encourage groups to congregate.
The Board will continue to monitor local conditions and resources.
Please stay safe and healthy!
Sincerely, Willbrook Plantation Board of Directors
Georgetown County Council passes ordinance requiring face masks
Beginning July 3 at 12 am, employees and members of the public will be required to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth in Georgetown County businesses, including grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants and retail stores. Restaurant patrons are exempt while dining, but employees must wear a mask at all times while having face-to-face interaction with the public.
Willbrook Rules & Regulations Update
Rule 22 of Willbrook Rules and Regulations :
"No flags, signs or banners shall be erected or maintained on or from any portion of your property except those signs approved by the board of directors. United States flags are exempt."
Some Willbrook residents use Tradition as a shortcut to the beach because golf carts are prohibited on the county’s bike path along King’s River Road (its considered a bike path only). When taking a golf cart from Willbrook to points east please use the front gate at Willbrook to get to the bike/cart path along Willbrook Blvd.
Tradition is a private community and residents have complained. If Tradition is forced to monitor it could mean tickets and fines. Lets be good neighbors and respect their request.
