The Willbrook Plantation Board of Directors has reviewed the new guidelines released by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) for the opening of public swimming pools.
The guidelines make the opening of the Willbrook Pool very complicated, as they are challenging to enforce. Restrictions on number of people permitted in the pool area, flow of traffic into and out of the pool area, and requirements for sanitizing gates, restrooms, and furniture after each use are just some of the challenges. And, of course, there remain strict guidelines for social distancing while in the area. These are all complex issues to address, and impossible to enforce without staff on hand to do so. At this time, the Board has decided to continue to delay opening the Willbrook Pool until some of these restrictions have been eased or eliminated. While this may not be a popular decision with everyone, the board has an obligation for the safety of residents and guests while on Willbrook common property.
We will update you as new information is released. Board of Directors
